 Background:

On November 4, 2020, the bargaining teams for Madera Unified School District and the California School Employee Association Local Chapter No. 169 settled negotiations for the 2019-2020 fiscal year. 

 

The district respects and values the work of the unrepresented employees and would like to continue with the practice of the "Me Too" Clause. 

 Rationale:
The Madera Unified School District agrees to provide non-represented employees (Classified Management, Supervisors, and Confidential) with a one-time, off schedule payment of $500 to all active employees effective December 16, 2020. The unrepresented employees concur with the District finalizing the 2019-2020 bargaining unit negotiations and with the "Me Too" Clause in the event the District provides higher salary increases to another bargaining unit than those set forth herein, the District agrees to reopen negotiations in this regard.

Fund 11 - Adult Education Fund $10,495
Fund 12 - Child Development Fund $24,857
Fund 13 - Cafeteria Fund $83,409

 

Total Fiscal Impact $ 550,718 includes CSEA employees and non represented employees.

This items fulfills/complies with Board Policy through the following ways:
The Governing Board recognizes its responsibility to represent the public's interests in the collective bargaining process.  In ratifying agreements on employee-contract, the Board shall balance the needs of staff and the priorities of the District in order to provide students with a high-quality instructional program based on a sound, realistic budget. 
 Superintendent's Recommendation to the MUSD Governing Board of Trustees:
The Superintendent recommends the Board to approve the Agreement between the Madera Unified School District and the non-represented employees (Classified Management, Supervisors, and Confidential) with a one-time, off schedule payment of $500 to all active employees effective December 16, 2020.
