First Reading was reviewed on April 12, 2021, Governing Board meeting and District Administration reviewed the necessary revisions to update the Working Remotely Board Policies 4113.5, 4213.5, and 4313.5 to identify Non-Emergency Remote Work. The Governing Board recognizes the importance of maintaining a policy manual that is up to date and reflects the mandates of law or necessary changes due to district practices. Board policies are binding on the district to the extent that they do not conflict with federal or state law and are consistent with the district's collective bargaining agreements. No Board policy, bylaw, or administrative regulation, or any portion thereof, shall be operative if it is found to be in conflict with applicable federal or state law or regulations or court decisions. If any portion of a policy is found to be invalid, that invalidity shall not affect other provisions of the policy.
Throughout the school year as Board Policies, Administrative Regulation, and Exhibits are revised and approved by the Governing Board, they are forwarded to CSBA to be posted for public accessibility.

BP 4113.5, BP 4213.5, and BP 4313.5 Working Remotely - Policies are being updated to reflect Non-Emergency Remote Work. The District has identified positions whose essential functions can be completed 100% of the time remotely. The identified positions are at the sole discretion of the District. Employees will be provided all supplies and equipment necessary to perform all duties, except internet service. It is the responsibility of the employee to obtain reliable internet access. Employees must adhere to all regulations set forth for emergency remote work.

- Communication Analyst
- Communication Technician
- Data Analyst
- Data Technician
- Database Administrator
- Database Administrator-Developer
- Software Developer
- Research and Systems Improvement Analyst
- Facilities Analyst

The Governing Board shall adopt written policies to convey its expectations for actions that will be taken in the district, clarify roles and responsibilities of the Board and Superintendent, and communicate Board philosophy and positions to the students, staff, parents/guardians and the community. Board policies are binding on the district to the extent that they do not conflict with federal or state law and are consistent with the district's collective bargaining agreements.
The Board recognizes the importance of maintaining a policy manual that is up to date and reflects the mandates of law. Policies shall be regularly reviewed at a time allocated for this purpose on the agenda of public Board meetings.
The Board shall review certain policies annually, as required by Education Code 35160.5. If no revisions are deemed necessary, the Board minutes shall nevertheless indicate that the review was conducted. Other policies shall be monitored and reviewed as specified in the policy itself or as needed to reflect changes in law or district circumstances. |
